Police Arrest 2 Suspects in Attempted Break-In at Home Near Pinecrest Golf Course

Someone threw a rock through a window Tuesday morning in an attempt to break into a home, police said.

Fairfax County Police have arrested two men in connection with an attempted break-in Tuesday morning at a home near Pinecrest Golf Course in the Annandale area.

Police say the incident at a home in the 6500 block of Gretna Green Way (see map below) took place Tuesday at about 8:28 a.m. A resident reported hearing a loud bang toward the rear of the house, police said.

The resident reported seeing two men running from the back deck, police said. Officers responded and found that someone had thrown a rock threw a rear window of the home and attempted to gain entry.

Two suspects were located nearby and after a thorough investigation, Cesar Giofinno, 20 and Rashied Hardy, 20, both of Alexandria, were arrested and charged with attempted burglary, police said.
