Police: Two Men Try to Grab Woman's Bag in Annandale

Fairfax County Police report that two men tried to rob a woman early this morning just after midnight in Annandale.

The attempted robbery took place in the 7900 block of Charles Thomson Lane, at around 1:30 a.m. A woman was walking outside when two men approached her, according to police.

One of them tried to grab her bag but both men fled when a passing vehicle approached, police said.

The suspects were described as black, between 20 and 30 years old, with brown eyes and black hair. One suspect was about 6 feet tall, about 175 pounds, with long dreadlocks and wore red shorts and white T-shirt. The other was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with short, curly black hair and wore blue and yellow shorts.

The victim did not require medical attention.
