Police: Valuable Items Stolen from Vehicles

The following items came from recent police updates through Aug. 1 from the West Springfield, Franconia and Mason District stations of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Franconia District Station Crime Summaries July 22-July 28

Weapons Violation, 4600 block of Conwell Dr, July 25, 2012.Residents reported finding spent shell casings on the ground from a firearm and recalled hearing shots the night before.

Larceny, 6900 block of Bradlick SC, July 25, 2012.  Shoplifting.

Larceny, 7400 block of Covent Wood Ct, July 25, 2012. Electronics, sports equipment, and other items were stolen from a locked vehicle overnight.

Larceny, 6800 block of Braddock Rd, July 28, 2012. Checks were stolen and cashed by a known subject.
