ANNANDALE, VA — Fairfax County Police completed their investigation of an Annandale private school Tuesday evening and reported that no firearms had been found there, according to a 5:20 p.m. post on the department's official Twitter account. Police say that students and staff had also left the school safely.

Police responded for the report of two students bringing firearms to the Phillips Program in Annandale, according to a 4:37 p.m. Twitter post. Police cleared the area and their investigation uncovered no weapons.

Located at 7010 Braddock Road in Arlington, the Phillips Program is a private non-profit that serves more than 500 children and their families in the D.C. area each year, according to the program's website.
