St. Alban's Concert: Illuminare and Slaveya Vocal Ensembles

Last call for this season! Please join us for the blended ensembles of Illuminare and Slaveya on Sunday, May 3rd, 7:00 pm, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church at 6800 Columbia Pike. (Please note change from our usual 4:00 start time.) “Following the success of (their) joint venture, East Meets West in 2012, Slaveya and the women’s early music ensemble, Illuminare, team up for a new program devoted to the traditions and rituals of spring. Folk songs and arrangements from Eastern Europe, paired with medieval and Renaissance music from the West, reflect such themes as birth, growth, healing, love, and the beauties of nature.” (Slaveya)
