Storm Knocks Out Power to More Than 500 Homes

A powerful storm rumbling through Northern Virginia Monday afternoon has knocked out power to more than 500 homes in an area along Route 50 in the Annandale-Falls Church area of Fairfax County.

In all, 556 homes were without power as of 4:07 p.m. In all, 3,140 homes are without power in Northern Virginia including 789 in Fairfax County, according to Dominion Power.

An estimated repair time is 7-9 p.m. Monday, according to a Dominion outage map.
