Suspect Wanted In Killing Of Annandale Man: Police

Police have identified a suspect after the fatal shooting at an Annandale apartment community.

ANNANDALE, VA — Fairfax County Police identified a suspect after a man was killed in an Annandale shooting on Friday.

Abel Alexander Castro Juarez, 20, of Annandale, is wanted following an investigation into the fatal shooting. Police have obtained felony warrants for second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Officers responded to the shooting around 5 p.m. on Friday. The victim was found with a gunshot wound at an apartment community in the 4100 block of Wadsworth Court. Officers provided aid until rescue personnel arrived, and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene. He was identified as Jose Alexander Villa Lobo Guevara, 20, of Annandale.

Police do not believe the incident was random.

According to police, the suspect is considered "armed and dangerous." Castro Juarez described as Hispanic, around 5 foot 6 and 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be traveling in a blue, 2003 Honda Accord with Virginia tags UMC8514. Anyone who sees Castro Juarez is asked to call 911.
