Tree Falls On House In Annandale
The resident safely escaped when a tree fell onto the house.

ANNANDALE, VAāAs the DC region continues to get drenched by this bout of bad weather, downed trees haven't been uncommon. One of these cases was a downed tree that fell onto a home in Annandale Friday morning.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units responded to the home in the 3400 block of Joan Court, according to a tweet shortly after 9:30 a.m. One resident was inside but escaped without injury.
The flood watch for the DC region continues through Saturday morning. According to the National Weather Service, rain will continue at least through Friday night and get heavy at times. 1 to 3 inches of additional rainfall is expected.

While flash flooding cannot be ruled out, the primary concern is flooding near small streams and low-lying areas.
