UPDATE: Columbia Pike Reopened After Water Main Break

UPDATE: A section of Columbia Pike near Lake Barcroft reopened to traffic early Wednesday morning, according to a report by WUSA.

Awater main break near Madison Lane had shut down a section of Columbia Pike on Tuesday, according to Fairfax County Police.

That area is near the Lake Barcroft community, south of Route 7.

Fairfax County Police reported Tuesday that the road was “unstable and buckling” between Gordon Street and Malibu Circle.

A spokeswoman from Fairfax Water said Tuesday morning they were aware of the problem.
