VIRGINIA — As the Powerball jackpot goes unclaimed yet again, one Virginia lottery player is celebrating a $1 million prize after matching the white balls but not the red Powerball number.

Nobody won the jackpot in Monday night's Powerball drawing, as the jackpot rises to $1.73 billion for Wednesday. The lottery said the Virginia ticketholder matched the five white balls to claim the $1 million prize. The winning ticket came from Lee’s Sandwiches at 3037 Annandale Road, Falls Church.

The Powerball numbers drawn were: white balls 16, 34, 46, 55, 67 and red Powerball 14. The Power Play multiplier was 3X.
