Police Investigate Suspicious Death Of DC Man As Homicide And Arrest 2 Suspects On Sunday
Two people arrested in Arlington on Sunday are facing murder charges in the suspicious death of Reginald Scott, 45, of Washington D.C.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested 46-year-old April Puckett and 48-year-old James Harris on murder charges Sunday in connection with the death of Reginald Scott, 45, of Washington D.C.
Police discovered Scott's body around 7:42 a.m. on Saturday after receiving the report of an unresponsive man inside a vehicle in the 3600 block of Columbia Pike.
Detectives from ACPD's Homicide/Robbery Unit identified Puckett and Harris as possible suspects based on evidence at the scene and witness interviews, according to authorities.

On Sunday morning, police located Puckett and Harris at a bus stop at Columbia Pike and South Quincy Street, where they were taken into custody without incident.
Police charged Puckett with murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Harris was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. They are both being held at the Arlington County Detention Center without bond.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Scott's death.
