2 Peeping Incidents Investigated As Possible Series: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating a pair of peeping incidents that occurred recently in the Long Branch Creek neighborhood as possibly being related, according to the daily crime report.

Officers were dispatched on Thursday, around 2:41 p.m., to the 2700 block of S. Veitch St., for the late report of a peeping. They learned that the victim observed an unknown suspect trying to climb over a balcony railing on July 2, around 10:30 p.m. When the suspect saw the victim, he fled the scene.

Police described the suspect as a man with a dark complexion in his 30s or 40s. He stood approximately 5-foot-10 to six-feet in height and weighted 250 pounds. He was wearing black pants, black long sleeve shirt, and a black mask.

In the second incident, officers were dispatched on Thursday, around 2:45 p.m., for the late report of a peeping in the 2400 block of 27th Court. They determined that a witness saw an unknown suspect looking into the windows of a residence on July 1, around 12:26 a.m.

Police described the suspect as a man with a dark complexion, standing about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet in height and weighing 215-230 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants, and black boots.

Due to the similarity of the suspects, clothing and location descriptions, ACPD detectives are investigating these incidents as a possible series, according to spokeswoman Ashley Savage.
