2 People Charged With Assaulting Officer In Pentagon City: Police
Three people entered a Pentagon City business and began to steal items. Stolen merchandise was recovered from two suspects, police said.
ARLINGTON, VA — Three people were arrested in connection with theft from a store in the Pentagon City area Wednesday morning, according to the Arlington County Police Department. Two of the suspects also were charged with assaulting a police officer.
At around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, police arrived in the Pentagon City area after someone reported a larceny in progress. The police officers saw three people fleeing the scene when they arrived.
As one of the suspects tried to flee the scene, another suspect attempted to strike one of the police officers, according to the department.

An officer received minor injuries during the incident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment

Andrew Richardson, 21, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, petit larceny and obstruction of justice. Another suspect, Melissa Bosley, 36, with no known address, was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, petit larceny and obstruction of justice.
The third suspect, Marquise Jones, 23, with no known address, was arrested and charged with petit larceny and identity theft.
The three people were held on no bond, police said.
