2 Virginia Square Burglaries Under Investigation

Arlington County Police are investigating a pair of breaking and entry incidents that took place earlier this week in Virginia Square.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating two burglaries that took place earlier this week in the Virginia Square area, according to the daily crime report.

On Wednesday, police were dispatched around 8:55 a.m., to the report of a breaking and entering incident at a residence in the 800 block of N. Pollard St. When officers arrived, they learned between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, unknown suspects had gained entry into the residence and stole items of value.

On Tuesday, around 10 a.m., officers responded to the report of a breaking and entering at a residence in the 3900 block of Fairfax Drive. The victim told officers that she noticed her purse was missing from her residence after being alerted to fraudulent activity on her credit card. It was determined that someone had gained entry into her residence between 6 p.m. on Sunday and 8 a.m. on Tuesday and stole her purse.

Police have no descriptions of the suspects in either of these burglary cases, both of which remain under investigation.
