3 Men Start Asking Questions, Then Attack: Arlington Police

The men grabbed and assaulted the victim, stealing items of value, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A violent attack in the Ashton Heights/Buckingham area of Arlington early Tuesday morning started with three men asking the victim some questions, police say.

Police were called to the 4200 block of 2nd Road N at around 11:25 p.m. Monday night to a report of a possible assault in progress, but didn't find anyone at that location when they arrived, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

At around 1:11 a.m., police were dispatched to a possible breaking and entering in progress at the same location, and upon arrival police found the victim for the initial call.

"It was determined that at approximately 11:00 p.m., the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by three unknown male suspects who began asking him questions," the report states. "When the victim declined to respond and attempted to walk away, he was grabbed and assaulted by the suspects, who then stole items of value from him and fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival."

Police described the suspects as follows; "Suspect One is described as a black male with a thick mustache. Suspect Two is described as a medium build Hispanic male. Suspect Three is described as a skinny Hispanic male with tattoos on his arms. The investigation is ongoing."
