ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested four suspects in connection with two auto-related crimes where the vehicles were taken by force, according to a police release. ACPD charged Destiny Morris, 18, of Annandale; Denali Goodridge, 18, of Washington D.C.; Treshawn Taylor, 18, of Alexandria; and Ayinde Mason, 18, of Washington D.C. with carjacking. More charges are pending.

On Tuesday, around 2:37 p.m., ADPD officers were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force in the 4600 block of Fairfax Drive. They discovered that medics had also responded to the scene for the report of a man down. Once the victim regained consciousness, he told police he was assaulted by three men as he was walking through the garage after parking his vehicle. The suspects stole the victim's personal belongings before fleeing the scene in his Honda Civic. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Around 6:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Potomac Avenue and S. Glebe Road for the report of a hit-and-run crash. Following a preliminary investigation, officers learned the victim had stopped at a red light when she was rear ended by a vehicle, which police determined was the Honda Civic reported stolen earlier in the day. The victim pulled over to call police and assess the damage to her BMW. When the victim exited her car, the suspect driver drove passed her and began performing doughnuts in the roadway, before driving backwards toward her vehicle and parking. Four suspects exited the Honda Civic, surrounded the victim, and struck her on the head. They then got into her vehicle and fled, with the Honda Civic following behind.
