42-Year-Old Arlington Woman Arrested In Clarendon Bank Robbery: Police

A 42-year-old Arlington woman faces a robbery charge after she took an undisclosed amount of money from a Clarendon bank, police say.

CLARENDON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested 42-year-old Asia Strong of Arlington in connection with a robbery Tuesday morning at a Clarendon bank.

Officers responded around 8:28 a.m., for the report of a robbery by force at a bank in the 3000 block of Wilson Boulevard. A woman had entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money, according to police. After leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of chase, the woman boarded a bus. No one was reported injured and there was no indication that the woman had a weapon.

Police canvassed the area and broadcast a lookout for the suspect. Officers saw a woman matching the description of the suspect exit a bus near Columbia Pike and S. Courthouse Road. They arrested Strong and recovered the stolen cash.

Strong charged with robbery and held without bond, according to police.
