Arlington 4th Of July Fireworks 2017: Updated Weather Forecast, Where To Watch
If you haven't made plans yet for a fireworks show on Independence Day, we've found a few great spots to watch the show in Arlington.
ARLINGTON, VA — It's that time of year once again, where we gather together as a nation and blow some fireworks up to celebrate our independence declared 241 years ago. But where should you go to watch 4th of July fireworks in Arlington in 2017? We've got a few great options for you.
WEATHER UPDATE: The weather forecast is a bit dicey. NBC Washington's Chuck Bell says storms will be a bit more likely south and west of the D.C. Metro area; he says rain is most likely between 2 and 7 p.m., but fireworks should be dry. The National Weather Service calls for scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Look for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 93. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent. The chance of scattered rain showers before 2 am creeps up to 50 percent. Skies tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.
Key Bridge -- The bridge spans the Potomac River between Georgetown on the D.C. side and Rosslyn on the Arlington side. That gives you an awesome vantage point of the fireworks over the National Mall.

U.S. Marine Corps War (Iwo Jima) Memorial -- Likewise, the Iwo Jima Memorial in the Rosslyn area gives you a perfect view of the main D.C. fireworks show.
Gravelly Point on the George Washington Memorial Parkway -- This spot, located right under the approach and takeoff area for planes at Reagan National Airport, has an unobstructed view of the city.

Air Force Memorial -- Located in Pentagon City, this memorial has a large platform that allows you to look directly over the Pentagon across the Potomac River toward the National Mall.
Long Bridge Park -- Each 4th of July, throngs of people pack this brand new park not far from the Pentagon.
