6 Teens Attack Taxi Driver In Pentagon City: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested three teens in connection with an attack on a taxi driver Wednesday afternoon in Pentagon City, according to the daily crime report.

Officers were dispatched Wednesday, March 18, around 4:56 p.m., to the report of a robbery by force in the 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. Arriving on the scene, officers learned the driver was sitting in his parked taxi cab when he was approach by six juveniles.

According to police, the first suspect opened the passenger door of the cab and began rummaging through the driver's property. Exiting the vehicle, the driver confronted the group when, police say, the second suspect struck him from behind. The juveniles fled the scene with the driver's phone and cash. After a short foot pursuit, other officers apprehended three of the juveniles.

Medics treated the victim on the scene for minor injuries.

ACPD charged the first suspect with grand larceny. The second suspect was charged with assault and battery and conspiracy to commit a felony. The third suspect was charged with conspiracy to commit grand larceny.
