Alexandria Man Charged In Crystal City Malicious Wounding Case

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested an Alexandria man in connection with a Tuesday morning malicious wounding incident in Crystal City, according to the daily crime report.

Around 11:33 a.m., ACPD officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Crystal Drive for the report of a fight in progress. They determined that a verbal dispute between individuals escalated into a physical altercation. Witnesses separated the suspect and victim, but police say the suspect threw part of a drill at the victim, resulting in a laceration. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

ACPD arrested Alex Avendano Espimal, 22, of Alexandria, and charged him with malicious wounding.
