ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police are asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle sought in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a woman on Columbia Pike.
Police released an attempt-to-identify bulletin for a 2016 to 2019 Honda CR-V in Obsidian Blue Pearl, a dark blue color. The vehicle is missing the front grille, police said.
The crash happened at approximately 1:22 a.m. on June 8 on Columbia Pike at S. Thomas Street, according to the Arlington County Police Department. Officers were dispatched to the area for a crash involving a pedestrian.
When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian in the roadway suffering from serious injuries, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle fled, according to police.
Police previously described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored SUV.
Arlington County Crime Solvers is offering cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
