Police said the officer got out of the vehicle and gave commands, but Marian did not comply. A second officer arrived and also gave commands before Marian struck the officer, police said.

After officers deployed a Taser and additional officers arrived, Marian was taken into custody. One officer suffered minor injuries, police said.

Marian was charged with assault on police, obstruction of justice, missile into an occupied vehicle and destruction of property. He was held without bond.
