ARLINGTON, VA — A new all-day restaurant in National Landing is aiming to combine upscale dining with the convenience of a neighborhood café as Arlington's dining scene continues to expand.
Constellation, operated by Episcope Hospitality, recently opened near the future Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport pedestrian bridge. The concept is designed to serve commuters, residents and visitors throughout the day while offering chef-driven food, specialty beverages and a curated retail market.
Rather than functioning solely as a grab-and-go stop, the restaurant features an interior inspired by the "Golden Age" of travel, with warm colors, curved architectural elements and seating designed to encourage guests to linger over meals, coffee or meetings.
Constellation's menu focuses on elevated versions of familiar dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Among its signature offerings are the Wagyu Beef Constellation Burger, topped with pickled fennel and banana peppers, and a Carbonara Breakfast Sandwich featuring guanciale, soft scrambled eggs and provolone on a croissant.
Additional entrees include Mushroom & Asparagus Farrotto and Rigatoni Bolognese.
The restaurant also emphasizes its beverage program, serving a custom house coffee blend and single-origin pour-over coffees sourced from Washington, D.C.-based Small Planes Coffee.
Tea selections come from Chicago-based Rare Tea Cellar and include premium loose-leaf varieties such as Sakura Cherry Blossom and Wild Thai Banana. Seasonal specialty drinks include a Banana Brown Butter Latte and Blue Matcha.
In addition to its restaurant service, Constellation features a gourmet market stocked with ready-to-eat meals, artisan snacks, specialty pantry items and travel accessories.
The retail space also includes journals, pens and other products intended for travelers, commuters and remote workers looking for a workspace or quick stop in National Landing.
