Arlington Woman Accused Of Breaking Into Occupied Home, Exposing Herself (patch.com) — An Arlington woman was arrested after police say she smashed a glass door on 23rd Street North, entered an occupied home, and exposed herself before being taken into custody. She now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges in Arlington General District Court, on top of earlier Arlington cases already scheduled for review later this month. Authorities report she is being held without bond.
   

2. Arlington Included In $3.7M Virginia Quantum Technology Investment (patch.com) — Arlington is one of five Northern Virginia localities set to benefit from a nearly $3.7 million state investment to build a quantum technology workforce. The Virginia Quantum Hub funding will support training pipelines, shared infrastructure, and coordination among businesses and schools, aiming to fill more than 1,100 open quantum-related jobs in the region.
   

3. Arlington Ranks Among Nation's Best Cities For Renters In 2026 (patch.com) — Arlington ranks 46th nationally in a new 2026 report on the best cities for renters, standing out for its prime locations, strong schools and high share of car-free commuters. The analysis also underscores steep trade-offs for Arlington renters, with living costs 36 percent above the national average and limited new apartment construction intensifying competition for available units.

Dominion investigating tripped transmission line after flashes, booms and flickering lights Thursday night (arlnow.com) — If your lights flickered around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in Arlington, Dominion Energy says a tripped transmission line caused the brief disturbance seen and heard across Northern Virginia. The utility is still investigating the cause while pursuing major grid upgrades and a proposed merger, as state and local leaders push for better reliability amid growing data center demand.
   

5. Police search for missing Howard University student last seen in Northern Virginia (fox5dc.com) — Police are asking for help after a Howard University student was last seen Tuesday leaving the Pentagon Metro Station in Arlington, wearing a black hoodie, leggings, Crocs and carrying a Michael Kors tote. The 22-year-old from Prince George's County was later spotted in Alexandria, and anyone with information is urged to contact Prince George's County police immediately.
