Arlington Attorney Goes On 5-Day Jeopardy! Winning Streak
An Arlington attorney earned $160,251 during a five-day winning streak on Jeopardy! that ended on Friday's show.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington resident's five-day winning streak on Jeopardy! came to end Friday when Emmett Stanton, freelance writer from Baltimore, was the big winner on Friday's episode.
Luigi de Guzman, an attorney, piled up earnings totaling $160,251 during his five-day run as champion.
In Final Jeopardy! on Friday's show, de Guzman went into the round with more money. Both he and Stanton correctly guessed the answer, but de Guzman only wagered $1,551, while Stanton wagered $10,000. Stanton won $25,800 on Friday's show and de Guzman came in second with $19,551.

De Guzman appeared on the game show on July 29, when the final episode of the previous season aired. He then returned Sept. 12 for the start of season 39 and won four days in a row.
According to the Filipino American Lawyers Association of Washington, D.C., he has worked as a regulatory attorney in the D.C. office of Buckley Sandler LLP.
