Troop 638 Eagle Scout Court of Honor

An Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on 20 May 2017 for Matthew Brodnitz, a senior at Washington-Lee High School, James Ehlers, Erik Tyson, Jackson Wiese, Mark Yates, seniors at Yorktown High School, and Jackson Stoffel, a Yorktown High School sophomore. All are members of Boy Scout Troop 638 affiliated with the Little Falls Presbyterian Church in Arlington.
Matthew’s Eagle Scout project involved building an artificial tree that is used by and decorated by the art therapy program within Georgetown Hospital's Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department. James’ Eagle project required repairing and creating an erosion prevention system for a trail behind Tuckahoe Elementary School. Jackson Stoffell’s project entailed making raised garden beds for the elderly at Sunrise Retirement Home.
Erik’s Eagle project consisted of refurbishing the Theater Department spaces at The Rivendell School in Arlington. Jackson Wiese’s Eagle project also benefited Rivendell, and involved emptying two storage rooms, installing shelving units in said rooms, and reorganizing all of the contents in an easy-to-navigate layout. Mark’s project consisted of re-building the colonial path at Tuckahoe Elementary School by trenching and installing a 60ft French drain.
