ARLINGTON, VA — Most college and university students have returned to their campuses for the spring semester. Their schools have been announcing various honors achieved by students during the fall academic term.

Cailyn Murray of Arlington was a cast member in Muhlenberg College's production of playwright Erik Ehn's "The Saint Plays." Presented from Dec. 2-5 on the school's Allentown, Pennsylvania campus, the six short plays tell stories of Catholic saints and other biblical figures.

To be named to the dean's list at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virgina, a student must earn a 3.899 grade point average and carry at least 12 graded classes. The following students from the Arlington area were named to JMU's dean's list for the fall 2021 semester:

• Sydney Mendes of Arlington, who is majoring in communication studies.
• Nicholas Miller of Arlington, who is majoring in computer science.
• Caroline FitzGerald of Arlington, who is majoring in English.
• Christopher Black of Arlington, who is majoring in finance.
• Ju Lin of Arlington, who is majoring in health sciences.
• Melisa Suarez Zapata of Arlington, who is majoring in justice studies.
• Zainab Yazdani of Arlington, who is majoring in secondary education.
• Ian Moran of Arlington, who is majoring in undeclared.
• Emily Snellings of Arlington, who is majoring in writing rhetoric & technical communication.
• Mattie Schwendeman of Arlington, who is majoring in history.
• Max Vansickle of Arlington, who is majoring in public policy & administration.

The following students from Arlington were named to the James Madison University president's list for the fall 2021 semester:

• Isabelle Kennealy of Arlington, who is majoring in biology.

• Alexis Rowland of Arlington, who is majoring in music.
