Arlington Coronavirus Update: 2,424 Cases, 126 Deaths

There are 2,424 total cases of the new coronavirus in the Arlington Health District as of Monday.

ARLINGTON, VA – There are 2,424 total cases of the new coronavirus in the Arlington Health District as of Monday, according to the Virginia Department of Health.

As of Monday morning, there have been 412 coronavirus-related hospitalizations in Arlington, according to health officials. There have been 126 total coronavirus-related deaths to date.

Arlington Health District has had a total of 20,038 test results, as of Monday morning, with a 4.9 percent positivity rate.

Arlington has had 16 coronavirus outbreaks to date, with 542 outbreak-related cases and 169 cases in healthcare workers. There have been 11 outbreaks in long term care facilities, two outbreaks in congregate settings and three outbreaks in healthcare settings.

The breakdown of cases by age in Arlington are as follows:

  • 0-9: 43 cases
  • 10-19: 91 cases
  • 20-29: 406 cases
  • 30-39: 439 cases
  • 40-49: 415 cases
  • 50-59: 371 cases
  • 60-69: 276 cases
  • 70-79: 171 cases
  • 80+: 202 cases

As of Monday, there were a total of 58,465 coronavirus cases in the state of Virginia. There have been a total of 5,869 hospitalizations across the state, with a total of 1,620 coronavirus-related deaths.
