Arlington County Fair Starts Wednesday, Aug. 6

The annual event features amusement rides, food vendors, fairway games, live entertainment.

Are you ready to have some fun? The annual Arlington County Fair is coming up, beginning next Wednesday, Aug. 6. The fair will run through Sunday, Aug. 10 at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 2nd St. in Arlington.

The annual fair will feature a 5k run, food vendors, live entertainment, fairway games and amusement rides. Also be on the lookout for outdoor movies after dark, pig races and pony rides. And it wouldn’t be a county fair without a competition for who has the best baked goods, photos and more.

Here’s the scoop on parking: You can park at Ballston Mall, the Arlington Career Center or the I-66 parking garage and take a shuttle for $2 roundtrip (it’s free for kids ages 12 and younger as well as for seniors age 65 and older). For those who are disabled there is parking available in front of the community center.
