Arlington Library Friends To Hold 2022 Spring Sale At Central Library

Friends of the Arlington Public Library is holding its 2022 Spring Book Sale from April 28 to May 1 in the garage at Central Library.

ARLINGTON, VA — Friends of the Arlington Public Library is holding its 2022 Spring Book Sale from April 28 to May 1, where thousands of used books, board games and vintage comics will be available for purchase.

The friends group, or FOAL, will kick off the spring book sale with a members-only night on Thursday, April 28 from 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The public book sale will take place Friday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 from noon to 6 p.m. On Sunday, May 1, all books will be half-price.

The book sale will take place in the parking garage at Central Library at 1015 N. Quincy Street.

Visa, MasterCard, checks and cash will be accepted. Shoppers should bring their own bags or boxes, as FOAL volunteers will have limited paper bags for customers to use.

Teachers and librarians with school IDs will receive 50 percent off purchases on Friday and Saturday, while everyone will receive 50 percent off on Sunday.

Residents can visit the FOAL website to fill out a membership form in order to attend the members-only night on April 28. Lifetime and active members of FOAL will receive an invitation by April 15 with a ticket for entry to access the sale. Membership will not be available at the door.

Customers should park in the outdoor lots surrounding the library. The closest Metro stations to Central Library are Ballston and Virginia Square on the Orange Line.

Each library branch in Arlington has a FOAL Bookstore, where the public can find great books in all genres year-round. The two largest FOAL Bookstores are located at the Central and Shirlington library branches.
