4 Charged After Burglary At Vacant Arlington Business, Police Say

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man and three juveniles face charges after police said a group broke into a vacant business on Arlington Boulevard near Fort Myer and damaged the property Saturday evening.

Arlington County police responded just before 7:30 p.m. to the 2200 block of Arlington Boulevard to investigate a destruction of property report.

Police determined that an adult male and several juvenile males had forced their way into the vacant business and then entered multiple rooms, causing property damage, according to the department. The group fled before officers arrived.

Juveniles Taken Into Custody After Foot Pursuits

Police issued a lookout for the suspects. Responding officers spotted individuals matching the descriptions of the juvenile suspects near Washington Boulevard beneath the Arlington Boulevard bridge, police said.

Officers took the three juvenile males into custody following foot pursuits. Police did not release their names because of their ages.

The adult suspect was found near the scene and taken into custody, according to police.

Police identified him as Edenilson Bladim Mejia Santos, 20, of Arlington. He was charged with burglary, destruction of property, conspiracy to commit a felony and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police obtained juvenile petitions charging each of the three juveniles with burglary, destruction of property and conspiracy to commit a felony.

No injuries were reported in the police release.
