ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man was arrested Sunday after police said he struck another man with a combination lock during an assault inside a residence.

Arlington County police responded around 4:35 p.m. to the 2000 block of 14th Street North to investigate the report of an assault.

According to police, the suspect and victim, who know each other, were inside a residence when a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation. During the fight, the suspect allegedly struck the victim with a combination lock.

The victim suffered injuries that police described as non-life-threatening. Medics treated him at the scene and released him.

Responding officers located the suspect at the residence and took him into custody.

James Droshin, 57, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.

The incident remains under investigation.
