Multiple Weapons Charges Filed By Police Against Arlington Man Involved In A Dispute
An Arlington man is facing multiple charges, including brandishing a weapon, after he was involved in a dispute in the Columbia Pike area.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested local man for displaying a handgun during an argument early Monday evening in the Columbia Forest area, according to the daily crime report.
Officers were dispatched around 5:39 p.m. for the report of someone brandishing a firearm the 5000 block of Columbia Pike. Following a search of the area, police located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking in the area when he began to argue with the suspect. During the argument, police the suspect lifted his shirt to show that he had a firearm. Leaving the area, the victim contacted police. While searching the suspect, police found a firearm in his possession.

Police arrested 21-year-old Eric Simms of Arlington and charged him with brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, and assault & battery. Simms was released on summons.
