Arlington Man Charged With Malicious Wounding

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man was arrested for malicious wound in connection with verbal dispute that became physical Wednesday in the Long Branch Creek area, according to a police release.

Around 2:35 p.m., officers from the Arlington County Police Department were dispatched to the report of a dispute between known individuals in the 1500 block of 28th Street S. When they arrived, the officers determined the suspect and victim had been involved in a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical altercation. Police say the suspect struck the victim repeatedly with an object, causing a laceration.

The officers arrested Tuvshinbileg Naranbaatar, 19, of Arlington, and charged him with malicious wounding and brandishing a machete or 12-inch+ bladed weapon.
