Arlington Man Dies From Vehicle Crash Injuries: Police
Arlington County Police are now investigating an April 17 collision between a pickup truck and tractor tailer as a fatal crash.
ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man succumbed to injuries Tuesday he received in a recent vehicle crash, according to a police release. Arlington County Police are now investigating the incident as a fatal crash.
Officers responded around 2:31 a.m., on April 17, for the report of a crash with injuries in an area of Washington Boulevard westbound at Arlington Boulevard eastbound. A preliminary investigation revealed that as the driver of a tractor trailer was slowing down as he neared the Arlington Boulevard overpass, a pick-up truck rear-ended him.
Arriving officers and medics provided aid to the truck driver, who was later transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police identified the driver of the pick-up as Eduardo Mendez-Aranda, 19, of Arlington. He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Later, Mendez-Aranda succumbed to his injuries and and was pronounced dead on Tuesday.
