Arlington Man Faces Abduction, Gun Charges: Police
An Arlington man was arrested Sunday and charged with abduction and brandishing a firearm after an incident near Columbia Pike.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington man was arrested Sunday and charged with abduction and brandishing a firearm after an incident near Columbia Pike, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
The suspect, Richardo Harvey, 46, was held on no bond, police said.
At about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, Arlington police were dispatched to the 500 block of S. 12th Road. Upon arrival, a victim told the police that she had been at an establishment with the suspect, who was known to her, when they became involved in an argument.

When the victim attempted to leave with a second victim and another witness, Harvey approached the first victim and began physically assaulting her before they were separated by witnesses, police said.
The two victims then went to get the first victim’s vehicle from a garage in the 500 block of S. 12th Road, the suspect approached them, held a firearm and made threatening statements, police said.

The first victim tried to speak with the Harvey. At this time, the second victim was able to leave the area and contact police. During a struggle, Harvey attempted to prevent the first victim from leaving the area, according to police.
Finally, the first victim was able to get into her vehicle and leave the area.
Police obtained warrants and officers found Harvey at his home and took him into custody without incident, police said.
