Arlington Offering Free Vaccines To Children As Young As 6 Months

Arlington County is now offering free Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to children as young as 6 months old.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County is now offering free Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to children as young as 6 months old.

The Pfizer vaccine has been authorized for children ages 6 months through 4 years old, and the Moderna vaccine is authorized for children ages 6 months through 5 years old.

Both COVID-19 vaccines for children as young as 6 months are being offered by appointment only at the Public Health Immunization Clinic in Sequoia Plaza.

Families can visit the county website, or go to the VAMS portal to schedule an appointment.

Appointments at the Arlington County clinic are available Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parents should contact their healthcare provider or local pharmacy with questions about vaccine availability.

Visit vaccines.gov to find a location. Pharmacies may only be able to vaccinate people 3 years and older, so contact the pharmacy before you go.
