Arlington Police Charge Driver With Pointing Firearm At Vehicle

Arlington County Police charged a Falls Church driver Tuesday with brandishing a firearm at another vehicle.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Arlington County Police arrested a Falls Church man Tuesday for waving a firearm at another driver, according to the ACPD daily crime report. Police charged Mariano Lizama Gamez, 20, of Falls Church with Brandishing a Firearm.

Police responded Jan. 7, at 4:05 p.m., to the 1300 block of S. Thomas Street for the report of a driver pointing a firearm at another vehicle. The victims told officers that as they were driving on S. Thomas Street, they honked at a vehicle approaching them from the other direction. They said the driver of the approaching vehicle pulled alongside their car, became irate and pointed a firearm at them.

Officers located the suspect's vehicle in the area and identified Gamez as its driver. They charged him with two counts of Brandishing a Firearm.
