Arlington Police Charge Man with Hate Crime, Participating in Criminal Gang

Here’s a look at the most recent crimes in Arlington County, from Arlington County Police crime report released Friday:

ASSAULT (HATE CRIME)/CRIMINAL GANG PARTICIPATION, 150723063, 4600 block of S Four Mile Run Drive, At 2232 hours, the victims, twin African American males, told police they were conversing in the parking lot at this location when an unknown white male approached them, took a fighting stance, and began to argue with them using racial slurs. While one of the victims called police, the suspect made reference to his involvement with a gang and reached for an object in his pocket, believed to be a weapon. The suspect was located, arrested and charged with the listed crimes.

Police say the man arrested is Chad Bailey, 37, of no fixed address.
