Arlington Public Schools Calendar: When Is Spring Break, Last Day of School?

ARLINGTON, VA — The weather may be chilly now, but things will warm up soon, and students will begin counting the days until spring break. So parents had better pull out the calendar and start making plans.

In April, students in the Arlington Public Schools will get one week plus a day away from classrooms, book bags and homework. According to the school calendar for 2016-17, the spring holiday begins on April 10 and runs until Friday, April 14. That's followed by a grade preparation day scheduled for Monday, April 17, and students return to class on April 18.

Here's more dates to add to your calendar:

• May 29: Memorial Day - no classes
• June 20: Last day of classes for high schools
• June 21: High school graduations
• June 22: Last day of classes for middle schools
• June 23: Last day of classes for elementary schools
