UPDATE: Arlington Public Schools Cancel Classes For Feb. 23

The incoming snowstorm has forced Arlington Public Schools to change how classes will operate on Monday, Feb. 23.

ARLINGTON, VA — After first announcing a two-hour delay, Arlington Public Schools has said that all classes are canceled for Monday, Feb. 23.

Due to the worsening weather conditions, all APS schools and offices will be closed.

"Unless otherwise directed by their supervisors, custodial, maintenance and essential transportation staff should report to work at their scheduled time," according to an alert posted to the APS website. "Extracurricular activities, games, team practices, field trips, adult education classes, and programs in schools and on school grounds are canceled."

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory until 10 a.m. Monday for Fairfax, Arlington, Falls Church, Alexandria, Prince William, Manassas and Manassas Park. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches with localized amounts around 5 inches are predicted.
