Arlington Residents Startled By Man Trying To Break In: Police
They were inside their home when they saw a man try to break into the residence, but he fled before police could catch him.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Some Arlington residents got quite a fright when someone tried to break into their house when they were home on Tuesday evening, police say.
Police were called to the 4100 block of 3rd Road N at around 8:37 p.m. on Dec. 11 to a report of a burglary in progress, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims were inside their residence when they observed an unknown suspect allegedly attempting to force entry to their residence, causing damage," the report states. "Upon being noticed by the victims, the suspect fled prior to police arrival."

Police described the suspect as a man wearing a baseball hate.
