Critical violation No. 1: Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The food establishment is not under the immediate control of a Northern Virginia certified food manager (manager was contacted via phone and arrived prior to the end of inspection).

Critical violation No. 1: Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The cutting knifes were not cleaned after each use.

Boru Ramen Restaurant, 2915 Columbia Pike

Notes: The inspector also listed a non-critical violation due to the slicer not being clean.

Critical violation No. 1: Observation: Observed cooked curry sauce (50 F) and soup (51 F) cold holding at improper temperatures in the two door upright refrigerator. Food was discarded.

Rocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company, 3471 Washington Blvd

Critical violation No. 1: Observation: Baked beans at 45 F inside the walk-in cooling unit.

Critical violation No. 2: Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A red beans container exceeds the day in which should be discarded.

Ichiban Sushi & Ramen, 4251 Campbell Ave # 101

Critical violations: 3
Notes: The restaurant also had four non-critical violations largely related to general cleanliness.

Critical violation No. 1: Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A food employee failed to wash hands and/or exposed portions of their arms before engaging in food preparation.

Critical violation No. 2: Observation (REPEAT) (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Food employee contacting exposed RTE food (making sushi) with bare hands.

Critical violation No. 3: Observation (REPEAT) (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Raw animal foods are not separated from each other during storage, preparation, holding, and/or display. Raw chicken was stored over raw shrimp in the "Randell" 1-dr, 2-drawers refrigerator.
