Sheriff's Office Makes Holiday Donations To Arlington Food Assistance Center
Arlington County Sheriff Beth Arthur on Thursday delivered food donations collected by her office to the Arlington Food Assistance Center.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Sheriff Beth Arthur on Thursday delivered food donations collected by her office to the Arlington Food Assistance Center.
In its holiday food drive, the sheriff’s office collected 3,731 food items. Arthur presented the food donations to AFAC CEO Charles Meng.
"The Sheriff’s Office is part of the community and I believe it is important for us to support those in need during the holidays,” Arthur said in a statement Thursday. “I appreciate staff’s enthusiastic support of these efforts.”

Since 1988, AFAC has worked to obtain and distribute groceries free of charge to people living in Arlington who cannot afford to purchase enough food to meet their basic needs.
