Update: Suspicious Death Suspect Charged With Concealing Body
Arlington County Police arrested a suspect in connection with a suspicious death in Ashton Heights.
UPDATE May 12, 10:25 a.m.: Homicide detectives with the Arlington County Police Department are working with the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of a suspicious death, according to a police release.
An examination of the body recovered by ACPD officers on Saturday afternoon revealed that death had occurred days before officers were summoned to the Ashton Heights residence
ACPD arrested Roscoe James Shaw, 41, of Arlington, and charged him with Virginia Code § 18.2-323.02 concealment of dead body. Shaw is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police detectives from the Homicide/Robbery Unit are investigating a suspicious death that took place Saturday afternoon in the Ashton Heights area, according a police release.
Around 4:44 p.m., officers were dispatched for the report of suspicious circumstances at a residence in the 200 block of N. Piedmont Street. During an investigation, police learned about a possible deceased individual inside the residence. Establishing a perimeter, ACPD obtained a search warranted and SWAT team members gained entry into the residence, where they found a deceased adult male.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the death, according to police. ACPD is not identifying the identity of the victim until proper identification has been obtained and next of kin have been notified. This remains an ongoing investigation.
