Police Identify Woman Killed In Arlington Crosswalk
Police identified a 48-year-old Arlington woman as the pedestrian killed Sunday night on South Glebe Road.
ARLINGTON, VA — Police have identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night on South Glebe Road as Katherine Krueger, 48, of Arlington.
The Arlington County Police Department released Krueger’s identity Tuesday. The crash remains under investigation.
Police and firefighters were dispatched shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday to the intersection of South Glebe Road and 14th Street South for a reported crash.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling south on South Glebe Road when the vehicle struck Krueger as she was in a crosswalk, according to police.

Krueger suffered critical injuries and was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver, who was the vehicle’s only occupant, remained at the crash scene, police said.
