Arlington's 'Women of Vision Awards' Seeking Nominations

ARLINGTON, VA — Women’s History Month is the perfect time to honor women in Arlington who have demonstrated leadership in helping others in the community.

The deadline for nominations for the 2022 Women of Vision Awards, honoring those who have shown a strong commitment to women’s issues, is 5 p.m. on Monday.

Women of Vision awards are presented each year by the Arlington County Commission on the Status of Women as part of its celebration of Women’s History Month.

The awards honor women for their contributions to improving the lives of Arlington residents, especially females. The 2022 Awards Committee is seeking nominations for this year’s awardees across several categories: community compassion, business, nonprofits and government/politics.

Nominees in the nonprofit category do not to be affiliated with a formal nonprofit organization.

The commission has created a nomination form for the Women of Vision Awards. Nominations also can be submitted to Courtney Sales at csales@arlingtonva.us or by fax at 703-228-4390.

The awards will be presented on March 30 at 7 p.m. at the Arlington Economic Development at 1100 N. Glebe Road.
