'Armed and Dangerous': Police Seek DC Man in Arlington Homicide

Jason Allen Johnson, 37, is wanted for murder after a party in an Arlington neighborhood ended in gunfire.

ARLINGTON, VA — Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a D.C. man in a fatal shooting at a party in Arlington this weekend, and authorities are warning that he is "armed and dangerous."

Police say 37-year-old Jason Allen Johnson is wanted for murder for his role in a homicide in the Williamsburg neighborhood on Sunday morning. He is described as a black man who is 5'5" and weighs 145 pounds, and was last known to be heading toward Maryland, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

Police were called to the 6300 block of N. 29th Street at around 3:22 a.m. on Feb. 19 to a report of shots fired.

"Arriving officers located one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately began performing CPR," the report states. "Arlington County Fire Department medics transported Michael Gray, 23, of Manassas, Virginia to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The initial investigation revealed that this shooting resulted from a dispute that took place during a party at a residence in the 6300 block of N. 29th Street."

Police added that Johnson is considered "armed and dangerous," and that anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911 immediately and not approach him.
