ARLINTON, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Friday morning in the Arlington Views area of the county, according to a police release. The initial investigation led to a vehicle pursuit that ended in Washington, D.C.

Officers were dispatched around 7:31 a.m., for the report of a burglary in the 1200 block of S. Ross St. Police learned the victim had been robbed at gunpoint and assaulted by four acquaintances inside of his residence. After taking the victim's property, they fled the residence before police arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

ACPD canvassed the area and found the suspects in a vehicle. The officers initiated a pursuit, which they terminated in Southeast Washington, D.C. Following a preliminary investigation, police determined the incident was not a random attack.
