ArtJamz Opens its Doors in Crystal City
Sip on a glass of wine and create your own work of art with this concept studio in Crystal City Shops.

What could be better than painting a piece of art while sipping on a glass of wine with your friends? If you're near Crystal City, a new "ArtJamz" location that allows you to do just that has just opened in the Crystal City Shops at 2100 Crystal Drive, according to a Washington Business Journal report.
Located at Studios 2105-B, it will allow visitors to create whatever kind of artwork they want -- with guidance from experts -- while sipping on wine or beer. This is the third location of ArtJamz, with locations also in Dupont Circle and Brookland. The company also has weekly pop-ups around the D.C. area.
The studio takes a freestyle approach to art, allowing customers to select their studio time, choose a surface and get guidance from an artist if they so choose. A 1.5-hour studio pass includes studio access, use of paints, art materials and guidance.

"Founded in 2010 in Washington DC, ArtJamz is the National Capital Region’s original source of participatory paint parties," reads a Crystal City Business Improvement District statement. "They were the first to combine socializing, nightlife and creative expression and let people unleash their inner artists. Their unique brand of guided freestyle paint parties are great for social and professional events, private paint parties, kids parties, and date nights as well as for singles looking for something fun to do in Washington DC."
It's not just for adults: the studio offers classes for children as well. You can find out more at artjamz.co.
